For us, the recognition reflects something that has always been at the heart of Women in Tech Sweden: the power of bringing people together.

Our events have never been just about filling a room or putting people on a stage. They’re about creating spaces where connections are made, new perspectives are heard, knowledge is shared – and where more women have the opportunity to be part of the conversations shaping technology and our future.

From bringing 3,000 people together at #WITswe2026, to Meetups across Sweden, roundtables, Almedalen and conversations on stages throughout the year, we see meetings as an important tool for building community and creating change.

Eventeffect highlights Åsa’s work at the intersection of technology, societal development and future skills, with a particular focus on who gets to participate in shaping our future.

It’s a question that sits very close to everything we do at Women in Tech Sweden.

As technology becomes an even bigger part of our lives and society, representation matters. Who gets a seat at the table matters. And who gets to build, lead and influence the technology shaping what comes next matters.

We’re incredibly proud of Åsa and this recognition – and grateful to our members, partners, speakers, volunteers and everyone else who continues to show up and build this community with us.

Congratulations, Åsa! 💜
