On October 20, we’re heading to Vend in Stockholm for a breakfast meetup exploring the technology, people and culture behind a Nordic family of online marketplaces.
You probably know their brands: Blocket, FINN.no, Tori and DBA. But what happens behind the screens?
Vend has gone from being part of Schibsted to becoming an independent marketplace company. Antonia Brandberg Björk, EVP of People and Comms at Vend, will share more about that journey, the culture Vend is building and how the company approaches learning and upskilling across the organisation.
It’s a look at what it takes to build and grow a company — while creating a culture where people can keep learning along the way.
Technology comes with responsibility.
Anna Strindberg, Head of Sustainability at Vend, will take us through Vend’s approach to Responsible AI and how the company is thinking about inclusion and impact on a broader scale.
Then we’ll hand the mic to the women building Vend’s products.
Moderated by Elin Eriksson, Creative Director at Women in Tech Sweden, the panel will bring together Maria Sandgren, CPTO; Ellen Widerstrand, Software Engineer; and Yevgeniya Nättilä, Senior Engineering Manager.
They’ll share honest perspectives on the everyday realities of being a woman in tech at Vend — from challenges and career experiences to the things that make the workplace unique.
We’ll wrap up with Q&A and plenty of time to mingle with the Vend teams and other women in tech.
So grab a coffee, bring your questions and join us for a morning about technology, people, culture and what comes next for Vend.
