Together with LEIA Health and Unconventional Ventures we release The LEIA Report 2025—the first major study showing how parental leave is actually managed in Sweden and the real impact on companies.
The findings reveal a clear pattern: parents, especially women, lack the structured support they need before, during and after parental leave. The result is higher churn, more sick leave, stalled careers and reduced productivity—costing Swedish employers over 30 billion SEK every year.
The report also highlights a major opportunity: companies with structured planning, reboarding and health-focused support see stronger retention, better leadership trust and improved long-term performance.
