Women in Tech Sweden at CSW70

This March, Women in Tech Sweden will be part of the Swedish delegation attending the 70th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70) in New York — the UN’s largest global gathering focused on gender equality.

This year’s theme centres on strengthening “Access to justice for all women and girls”.While this might sound like a legal topic, many of the conversations at CSW increasingly touch on technology, digital systems, and the role innovation plays in shaping societies.From AI and digital decision-making systems to the policies guiding emerging technologies, the tech sector is becoming deeply intertwined with questions of fairness, representation, and access.

Representing Women in Tech Sweden, Åsa Johansen will attend in panels and speaking engagements, and listen in to a variation of side events during the week. Through this participation, we will bring the perspectives of our Swedish business partners — and your voices as part of our 32,000-strong community — into global conversations about talent, innovation, and the importance of ensuring women are part of shaping the technologies of tomorrow.
