VolvoKart: Gaming with Volvo Cars

Volvo Cars is one of the Women In Tech main partners for 2023 and they never seem to disappoint when it comes to innovative solutions. Remember the VolvoKart game from their booth at #WITswe23? Recently Sarah Bellis, member of their eXtended Reality (XR) team shared a case on building the game for the conference.

“I’m Sarah Bellis, and I’m a member of the eXtended Reality (XR) team in the Exploration and Enabling Labs (EEL) at Volvo Cars. Last year, in collaboration with Unity, we released a 3D test track template, with an operational model of a Volvo XC40 Recharge on our Hällered proving ground.”

“To demonstrate this tool and what is possible with it in a short amount of time, I developed a game that I showcased at the Women In Tech conference in Stockholm in March 2023 — and, as I had the template, it only took me two days.”
