DEI Compass

With the help of DEI experts, we built the DEI Compass – a supercharged tool to help our partners level up their diversity, equity, and inclusion game! 🚀 It maps out 11 key areas, from leadership commitment to workplace culture and innovation, helping you spot gaps and craft real impact. Because fairness and opportunity should be the default setting for everyone.

Navigating for the Future

The tech industry presents numerous challenges, and it’s time to do more—to make invisible work visible and ensure fairness for everyone. Women in Tech Sweden has listened to the experiences and aspirations of women in the Swedish tech sector. While progress in diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) has been made, it remains insufficient. Many companies recognize the importance of DEI but struggle with effective implementation.

Together with DEI experts we designed our DEI Compass to help organizations assess their current DEI efforts, identify gaps, and create impactful strategies to ensure fairness and opportunity for everyone.

At Women in Tech Sweden, we collaborate with organizations committed to genuine change. Our partners view DEI not just as a benefit but as a crucial tool for attracting talent and fostering an unbiased, thriving work environment. We encourage companies to outline their DEI initiatives and use the Women in Tech DEI Compass to assess their current DEI status.

True inclusion extends beyond recruitment, creating a culture where employees feel valued and have equal opportunities to advance. Prioritizing DEI drives innovation, improves decision-making, and strengthens business outcomes, providing a strategic advantage. This journey is ongoing, and together, we can build a truly inclusive future in tech.

Introduction to the DEI Compass

The Women in Tech DEI Compass is a tool designed to evaluate and guide your organization’s progress toward creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace. Focusing on 11 key areas—such as leadership commitment, workplace culture, equitable opportunities, and innovation—the Navigator provides insights into your current status and highlights areas for improvement, offering guidance for your DEI efforts.

It also provides a snapshot of gender diversity within your company, including leadership and tech teams, to inform and shape your DEI initiatives. This tool goes beyond a checklist, enabling you to track progress, drive meaningful change, and ensure an unbiased environment where all employees can thrive.
