The evening opened with Åsa Johansen, CEO of Women in Tech Sweden, who reminded us of the heart behind WIT: community, connection, and role models.

Apotea: Building with curiosity and a growth mindset

Hanna Moisander, COO/CTO at Apotea, shared how the company is rebuilding its entire e-commerce and logistics platform on AWS, shaped by curiosity, continuous learning, and inclusion. “We don’t look shallow on a candidate, but at what they have to offer and how they can grow.”

Sepi Mohammadi, Head of Technology – AI & Cloud, highlighted Apotea’s current phase: using AI to solve real problems and build long-term value, avoiding the typical “POC graveyard” where most AI pilots get stuck.

Keynote: Innovation Without Limits

Sunitha Eswaraiah, Senior Solutions Architect at AWS, delivered an inspiring keynote about embracing growth, teamwork, and the future of tech. She compared AWS services to Lego blocks and reassured the audience that “AI won’t take our jobs. AI will create more opportunities.”

Her reflections on her own mistakes, like comparing herself to others or trying to do everything alone, resonated with many in the room.

“To go far, go as a team,” she said. “That’s where you can share ideas, get feedback, and ask questions.”

She also shared a few underrated skills that make all the difference: good time management, flexible goal-setting, and sharpening your skills through personal projects.

The evening was filled with conversations, connections, and insights into how Apotea and AWS are shaping the future of cloud, AI, and modern engineering. More importantly, it highlighted a shared mission: bringing more women into every part of this transformation and ensuring they have the support to thrive.
