On one of the snowiest and crispiest evenings of the season so far, we headed to Linköping for Code of Confidence together with the CombinedX companies, our community, and it’s allies. A few members even travelled down from Stockholm and other cities, just to be part of the night.
We kicked things off with some opening words from Amalia & the local community East Sweden Tech Women, who helped us set the tone for the evening: this is about learning, connecting and lifting each other – across companies, roles and experience levels.
One of the highlights of the night was Boel Sjöstrand, who shared thoughtful reflections on what it’s like to sometimes be “always on stage” as a woman in tech. She talked about the pressure that comes with standing out – but also the opportunity in having all eyes on you and the change you can create through that. Her message was clear: if the spotlight is on you, use it.
We also heard from Therese Gawor and Elina Järlesjö, who talked about reskilling, career shifts and how to keep growing when everything around you moves quickly. Their stories, based on how they’ve made their own career shifts before ending up within the CombinedX family, sparked a lot of nodding around the room.
After that, we rolled into our breakout sessions – giving everyone a chance to dive into topics they were curious about:
By the time we wrapped up with snacks, mingling and warm conversations, the snow outside felt very far away. The room was full of people sharing career stories, comparing insights from post it-notes on what skills they felt was most needed in the current tech landscape, and finding those small “oh, you too?” moments that make events like these so valuable.
A huge thank you to everyone who showed up – especially through the snow – and to CombinedX (Nethouse, Elvenite, Align, Ninetech, Netgain, Two & Absfront) for making the evening possible. We left Linköping feeling inspired, connected and a little more confident than when we arrived.
