Technology is more than an industry—it’s a force for societal change. It has the power to make communities safer, reduce crime, and create real opportunities for inclusion.
Earlier this month, we had the opportunity to dive into this topic at an inspiring event focused on youth safety in both digital and physical spaces. Christoffer Bohman, safety strategist at Idéer för Livet, shared eye-opening insights on the risks young people face today and how technology can be leveraged to drive prevention and long-term solutions.
One of the biggest lessons from the event? Technology isn’t just about advancement—it’s about responsibility. As innovators, tech professionals, and changemakers, we all have a role to play in shaping a safer digital world. Whether it’s through ethical AI, cybersecurity, or inclusive product design, our work directly impacts society.
The event also highlighted the importance of collaboration. By bringing together diverse perspectives, we can ensure that tech solutions are designed with real-world impact in mind. And with a strong push for gender balance in tech leadership, the future looks brighter when more voices are heard.
Moderating the event was Hillevi Santoro, IT Director at Skandia, whose leadership and passion for digital transformation set the tone for the evening. With years of experience in driving innovation, she emphasized the need for inclusive leadership and the critical role of diversity in building future-proof tech solutions.
Beyond the discussions, the event provided a chance to network, share ideas, and explore ways to drive meaningful change in tech. And yes, there was also an incredible Italian buffet—because great conversations are always better over great food! 🍕
For those who attended, we hope you left feeling inspired and empowered to use technology as a tool for positive change. If you couldn’t make it, don’t worry—this is just the beginning of the conversation. Let’s keep pushing for a future where innovation serves not just business, but society as a whole!
