Digital Product Passports – How to approach & use as an asset for the future

The EU is implementing the Digital Product Passport (DPP) as part of its Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR). The DPP will become mandatory for all products sold on the EU-market in stages, starting in February 2027.

In our session we would like to approach the DPP topic from two aspects:

  1. How to approach it and start working towards it while ESPR is still under development.
  2. How DPP could be used as an asset on top of the regulatory demands.

DPP will contain a variety of information regarding product, manufacturer, materials, usage and circularity which gives both opportunities and challenges – we are on a mission to tackle both (?). During our session, we will be sharing insights and lessons learned from our sustainability data solution journeys.

Session speaker Jutta Karjalainen is our Finland based Manufacturing & Automotive Principal consultant who is working with variety of customers regarding sustainability data solutions, digitalization and smart solutions for manufacturing & products. Her background is from business process management & automation, low-code, data & AI.
