Scania has high set targets for driving the shift towards sustainable transports. One of the major enablers for this is to transform the fleet into battery electrical vehicles. This change requires massive measures regarding technology and production structure. With high set targets to reach their goals, the teams at Scania are convinced that the utmost important asset for this change is the employees. In this digital session Scania will share at what brings them closer to their goals and how they strive for diversity and inclusion to make this happen.

Juliana Da Silva Rodrigues – Process engineer, Battery Production

Starting the career in Brazil gave Juliana a good introduction to the Scania Latin America operation and specifically the purchasing department. After 4 years the journey continued to Södertälje and continued focus for the new segment within e-mobility. Learning more about supplier quality assurance also gave Juliana a good insight in the production environment and in 2021 Juliana joined the newly established Battery production unit.
Today Juliana is the engineer responsible for introduction of Scania’s new battery module products in production.

Julia Mörtberg – Industrial Engineering Manager, Battery Production

From the studies within material design Julia set target to automotive industry and has since then developed mainly into leadership roles. Production has always been a center-point for Julias interest mainly because the operations are driven by continuous improvements and with an act of directness. Joining Scania in 2015 has enriched Julias career and further developed her in the role as a leader.
Julia is since one year back the industrial engineering manager for the Battery Production establishment in Södertälje. In order to drive the shift towards battery production Julia set high priority to involvement, transparency and target setting.
