Irem Boybat is a part of the Neuromorphic & in-memory computing group at IBM Research – Zurich. Her current research focus is on building the next generation of energy-efficient AI systems using emerging memory technologies. Prior to this, she was a research scholar at IBM Research – Almaden, San Jose, California with a similar research focus. She holds a Ph.D. degree from Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland. She earned her Master of Science degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, also from EPFL, Switzerland and her Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Engineering from Sabanci University, Istanbul, Turkey.
