General terms and conditions

The membership

Through the membership your agree that Women In Tech Sweden Association, with company registration number 802537-8202, and the address Pilvingegatan 48, 128 35 Skarpnäck, Sweden, saves your personal data and processes them in accordance with the Personuppgiftslagen (PUL) and Dataskyddsförordningen (GDPR). These laws are intended to protect your personal privacy. You can read more at Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten’s website.

Women In Tech Sweden only saves data directly from you. The information we need is your name, e-mail, company/university, occupation/study, gender and age. We do not need your social security number. We only store your personal information to manage your membership as well as sending invitations and information. We also use personal data as a basis for statistics and to arrange the right events to support the cause of getting more women to choose a career within the field of technology.

No personal data is sold to other organizations or companies, however, we may send invites to events and meet-ups on behalf of our partners as well as information about our partners if Women In Tech considers that the offer may be of interest to you.

Signing up for the Conference

If you sign up for separate events, this will be done on an external website and processed in order for your participation in the current event. For the #WITswe2023 conference Women in Tech Sweden has partnered with Lyyti for the ticket registration. In order for us to create a good event experience we are collecting additional data regarding your company/organisation/university; your status as a student/non student; if you have visited the conference before; if you have any relevant food allergies and if there’s anything else you want to share with us regarding your presence at the Waterfront Congress Centre on March 23. This data will be stored by Lyyti and shared with our event agency Onemotion in order to execute the event, including serving you a lunch without allergens. ❤️

The right to be deleted

According to the Dataskyddsförordningen you have the right to be deleted. Your personal information and other information related to your membership will be saved only for as long as you are a member. If you are not satisfied with our handling of your information, you can report this to the Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten. According to the Dataskyddsförordningen, you are entitled to receive information about the processing of your personal data, free of charge once a year. Such a request must be sent from the email address that was used to register your membership to info@womenintech.se.

Via womenintech.se you can log in to view and edit your personal information as well as cancel your membership.
